Abstract

Digital Fabrication & Workshop Assistant

Your duties will include assisting with the technical practice for our mechanical workshop, ranging from the woodwork, metalwork, up-cycling, experimentation to prototyping. At the same time, since digital fabrication is a part of our operation, electrical circuitry and computer-aided design & manufacturing are also areas that require your support.

If you have an interest in mechanics, engineering, adhocism and hands-on workshop practices for sustainable manufacturing/product design and you are not afraid of unfamiliar challenges and taking risks, we would love to meet you!

​

We have a wide range of duties involved in our studio that can have your assistance, such as the following tasks (not exhaustive):

​

  • Assist with the mechanical workshop tasks

  • Use power tools to assemble necessary hardware

  • Assist with repair & maintenance of our facilities

  • Pick up upcycling materials (sometimes bulky) within London

  • Work responsibly & consciously with new & upcycled materials to prevent

    wastage

  • Collate and manage storage spaces smartly

  • Wire necessary electrical circuits to complete the hardware functions

  • Create 3D files or sketches to brainstorm ideas for projects

 

Ideally, you would be a person with the following traits:

  • Have a self-learning, inquisitive, positive, flexible, resilient, resourceful and can-do attitude

  • Passionate about sustainability, climate/environment & social responsibilities

  • Show interests & personal actions in facilitating small changes from within

  • Have dexterous hands for making & enjoy solving problems + improvisation

  • Be hardworking and dedicated to your creations & crafts

  • Can be careful with handling fragile materials but also have the strength to carry some heavy items

Digital Marketing & Communications Associate

We need help with managing our online (& occasionally offline) communications with our audience & clients to increase brand awareness & engagement.


Your duty is to help us create contents for our social media feeds, monthly newsletters, community engagement & website contents, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and everyday admin. You may have the chance to assist us with grant/funding/resource applications as well.
 

If you have an interest in sustainability, textile, innovation, design and want to support a social enterprise fighting climate change & pollution, we would love to meet you!

We have a wide range of duties involved in our studio that can have your assistance, such as the following tasks (not exhaustive):

​

  • Promote our services and overall company’s ethos on online channels (offline as well but depending on pandemic policies)

  • Design promotional materials and coordinate dissemination

  • Create contents for social media & website

  • Craft monthly newsletters of updates to engage with our online community

  • Manage customer relationships & project status updates

  • Grant & funding application writing support

 

Ideally, you would be a person with the following traits:
